If they keep selling DS anywhere near the pace they are now, they damn well better keep producing them, or they are losing out on huge profits. Remember, DS hasn't even had a price drop besides way back during the beginning of its life to get it going. There is a lot left in the tank. It would be a foolish business decision to stop producing DS during the life of 3DS unless it hits a massive decline in sales.
