Le gasp.

2001 it started. That's a game a year (about).

And besides, the series is great so it should live for a while.

(Technically, including remakes and the like, there will have been 12 games when the 3 have been released)

There's a lot to the story, and I don't get your complaints. Just because a story of game usually ends with one to three iterations doesn't mean all should.

There's 9+ interations. That's way too much for any story.

Why do the games being story-related make it worse than non story-related games with more iterations?

Obviously because when games aren't connected it doesn't matter what you play. But when they're story related you need to play all of them to understand them (unless you just decide to read up on most of the games and not play them...). It doesn't matter if SE release a bunch of FF spinoffs as most people just look forward to the main series. With KH you'll need to play the side stories too which are insanely spread out unlike the FF main series which sticks to one console per gen (except in FF XIII's case but it's still on the PS3 and when XV makes it out this gen it'll be on the PS3 as well).

So your complaint is that its multiplat and you need to play them in order?

Those aren't all that great. It isn't difficult to play them in order (huh, should I start with Kingdom Hearts 1, or the side-title on the DS?).

And you don't need the side-stories, the main story relays them back pretty well.

And at your multiplatform complaint: that is perfectly legitimate. But the main game sticks to a main console.

And if you're really so concerned about missing out on the story, you would go and read about it.
