I read it and honestly couldn't think of any high quality titles that have been well marketed and flopped on the HD console's.
The closest would be Too Human, but that was far from high quality or well marketed.
Otherwise everything else he said was fine, Reggie sure can keep on his toes in interviews. |
Bioshock on PS3
Bioshock 2 on every platform
Dead Space
Silent Hill
Ratchet and Clank: Crack in Time
Do you need more?

Bioshock was a year old port on the PS3 and I can't remember seeing any ad's for it.
Bioshock 2 released last month and it's already sold 1.5 million copies on the HD platforms.
Dead Space has sold 2 million on both HD platforms.
Silent Hill has never sold well and it actually sold more on the HD platforms combined compared to past games.
A Crack in Time released last October and has sold 900,000 copies.
I don't know what your definition of a flop is, but those games aern't exactly flops.

By your definition (which I agree with), many of the so called Wii flops aren't flops either.
For example Fatal Frame 4 actually sold in line with the PS2 games in the same series (even more than some of them). Madworld sold more than God Hand, a game by the same developer on the PS2.

Yup, that's pretty much it. I wouldn't see game's like Madworld or No More Heroes as flop's only because of how the developer's past titles sold.
Now if No More Heroes 2 doesn't pick up in sales (I'm sure it will, considering Wii games have great legs) then I'd consider that a flop.
