I`m preeeeetty sure Nintendo didn`t invent 3D

IN FACT they weren`t even the first to do 3D gaming, check it out  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3D_Monster_Maze

That was one of my favourite games on the speccy. It wasn't 3d like we are talking about. Only about 2 frames a second and those were just static screens it was not running in a 3d engine so back then "3d" was a gimmick. But when you turned round and that t-rex was there you still shat yourself.

Was the master systems 3d glasses out before the virtual boy?

You`ve actually played that game ?

Wow, consider me impressed good sir.

Good question, Wiki doesn`t seem to have the release date but does have some info on it.

It's a fond memory of one of my earliest games. I recommend getting it on an emulator if it's available and giving it a whirl.

When you see that warning that the T-rex is close and you had better run you will get chills. My first sense of atmosphere in a game and is comparable with anything I've played since.

Actually I'm going to try and find it. Wonder what it would look like on a 1080p screen?

And that was an excellent read. Good find.
