ea sports really should, by next gen at least, release one game in a sports franchise, like say madden, and then offer the next years game as dlc, cheaper for those who bought the first. offer every past edition of the game up as dlc, all with online multiplayer, may'be modern rosters in each game too or something that makes the package even more attractive so that they could charge more.

newer madden's, nhl's, nba's, mlb's, fifa's should have the ability so that there's online multiplayer where you can,

for example, play as one of 5 basketball players, against another team of 5, greatly opening up the play control, freeing up the buttons, all acclimated for a single player
...may'be with coach mode with live mulitlayer teams
...even with bench players being played by seperate people, who are spectators when not playing, able to chat with everyone around them, using 3d sound only being able to hear people within your proximity,
a 3 man commentary team of real players, real audience members made up of real players

...if all of that is to be implemented it'd have to be during the next gen me thinks, or with a really old graphics engine in place that might allow for such interactive immersion. and there could be tournaments for real prize money, with huge viewing audiences

... with all of these features, there'd be a much bigger base of players, as to even allow free bare bones multiplayer with advertisements (real ones like on t.v. at appropriate intrevals during the game.)

there'd be more players like me, who usually skip yearly sports installment games, cause generation to generation, each years addition is usually minorly better..i mean, some older madden games released for current systems had their online discontinued.

hope someone from ea is reading.
