The Wii itself is only 512 MB, but a pretty good chunk of that is the Wii OS itself. Then on top of that you have the Mii channel, the Photo channel, the Wii Shop channel, etc. so you don't even get a half a gig. A 2 GB card is 4 times the Wii's memory, but you get the whole thing. You should be fine with a 2 gig. I only use one 2 gig card for WiiWare and VC stuff and I have tons of room.
