Developers have had 4 years to come up with good ideas for motion controlled games. I'm not holding my breath. They waited for Nintendo to make a sports minigame collection, and then they all followed suit. Then they waited for Nintendo to make an exercise game, and then they all followed suit. I guess the idea is that they're waiting for Nintendo to make Zelda Wii with Motion+ and go "oh that's how you do it!" and suddenly make some really amazing games.

But already, with a whole year of Motion+ on the market they're jumping ship to make games for the Move instead. That's where all the stellar bowling, dancing, painting, and minigames are going to be from now on. Developers prefer to make their motion games in HD so they cost more.

But I bet some of the Move games will eventually get ported to Wii Motion+, since it has a much larger userbase (somewhere around 14 or 15 million to zero as of today).

I don't think it would be too inaccurate to nearly double those numbers (~25m)

With Wii Sports Resort, obviously many people needed to get an extra one. A couple sports games add an extra million or two to the count, and Red Steel 2 is going to add to it.
