Oh, it kicks FFVIII in the pussy. Despite my minor complaints, I love it immensly. The only battle system I like more is Grandia II and I haven't played that game in almost a decade. If I went back and played it, my mind will probably be changed.

I don't see any summons in FFVIII turning into a horse and letting you ride them, do you? But yeah. FF8 (and FFX if I remember correctly) had some kick ass timing based summons. I can't remember jack about FF9. Old age, I guess.

lol FF13 summons are MUUUUCH BETTERRRRR in looks & the GESTALT thing
BUT I used to spam GF's in every battle in FF8
in FF13 the summons seem really underpowered to me
I LOVE to see the summon animations.....but I just never bother using em :(
