I find it comical that people still believe that GT5 is going to change console sales dynamics.
Tell me why the 4.5 million people that bought GT5P are going to buy a new PS3 for GT5.
Tell me what percentage of the 40million PS3 owners purchased a PS3 for the core Playstation games that includes GT series. I bet a good amount.
Tell me how many people that planned on getting a PS3 for GT5 were pushed over the edge already by another title or received the PS3 as a gift. I bet a good amount.
Look for GT5 to make an impact it needs to push millions of consoles not a couple 100K.
So when it releases we may see a 1 week bump for the final GT fanatics to get a PS3, but for the most part GT5 will just be a game that sells fantastically and helps the PS3 continue to sell at the current level it is selling.
GT5 isnt a market changer like a price cut is.
GT5 isnt a market changer like Natal could be.
GT5 isnt a market changer like Move could be.
Xbox Slim isnt a market changer either. Although the cost reductions which result in price reductions could be.
Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.
