Did a dev not say it was a virus for it being a cool party accessory?

Who is this dev and why are they the authority on the Wii?

Wii fit is aimed for middle aged women, as shown by the adverts.

http://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/hoiNtus4JvIcPtP8LQPyud4Kyy393oep#overview  Seems to me like it's made for everyone.

The wii does have serious hardware limitations that prevent it from providing a graphically and technically advanced game. No room for debate there.

I don't know...it seems to me like the other two consoles are only now catching up to motion controls.  Who's advanced now?  Also, does this mean that the PS2 didn't have any "hardcore games"?  It was the weakest system after all.

The Wii is aimed at a younger audience - Nintendo have said so. I was stating that the person was trying to argue with a point which had already been clearly stated by a Nintendo rep.

"Wii sounds like "we," which emphasizes this console is for everyone. Wii can easily be remembered by people around the world, no matter what language they speak. No confusion. Wii has a distinctive "ii" spelling that symbolizes both the unique controllers and the image of people gathering to play."

Funny, it seems to me they made it for everyone.  This message is driven further on their website:

NSMBWii is a very nostalgic game. Can a game based on nostalgia still be comparible to the rest of the quality of the market considering the advances made? Subjective, yes, but essentially nostalgia is not progression and progression is generally the right direction to be headed in.

Have you ever thought that maybe people get nostalgic about Mario because it's GOOD?  Do you get nostalgic about games you played in the past that were crap?  Are you going to think the games you like today are crap in a few years?  Excellent gameplay can't be progressed any further.

Trolling is arguing for the sake of arguing. I stated that the wii had peaked and gave an explantion as to why I thought so. People chose to argue with this, so I clearly went into more depth as to why I believed what I did in light of their beliefs.

Trolling is "Wii/PS3 SUX!". Trolling is not defending your belief with well founded points. Big difference.

You use the argument that a dev said the Wii is a virus and can't see how you're trolling...lol.

Out of all the people I know who own a wii, this is true. They no longer use it, or use it very infrequently. I'd say he knows more about the gaming industry than either one of us, therefore it'd be naive to ignore his opinion.

In the UK, the adverts are presented by female celebrities aimed at middle aged women....It says anyone can use it, but the adverts are more aimed at women then men. Again, not really something that can be argued.

No, the wii has hardware limitations as it's GPU and CPU suck, and it's awful in terms of being a media center, something which the 360 is more than capable of being, and something the PS3 excels at. There is a massive power difference between the PS3 and the wii, whereas with last gen, the difference was very little.

What are you on about? Those links are very dated and reguardless, Reggie said the wii is aimed for a younger audience - end of point, unless you really, really think you know better than the offical spokesman of Nintendo....

If you claim Mario is good, you are saying the genre has barely developed in two decades. Is that what you are claiming?

I'm repeating what people who have worked in the gaming industry have said, as well as going with my own expereince. Is that really foolish or trolling?

@atama

Sorry, but you showed you were incapable of reading my earlier posts so I shan't reply to you as you clearly are not going to read whatever I put, but just reply with flame-bait answers with no actual depth.
