Nope, Amazing Mirror (GBA) also had local multiplayer iirc, through the main game.  And actually it was pretty awesome, though everyone also had their own screen.

In Kirby Wii I imagine it'd play more similar to a mix between NSMBWii and the Subspace Emissary mode in SSBB.  It could definitely work though, I think multiplayer's the future for 2D platformers...


hence why I said only the nes and snes kirby games didn't had local multiplayer, the rest of them Im sure had local multiplayer (handhelds and consoles).

Amazing Mirror and Dreamland 3 are the only ones with full multiplayer through the main game iirc.  Super Star SNES/DS has it for certain modes, and some others have it for minigames only (Kirby 64, Adventure GBA & Squeak Squad,)
