You are absolutely correct that the "core" titles of the PS3 that define the Playstation experience (as distinct from the Wii or 360 experience) don't really appeal to me: God of War, Heavenly Sword, RPGs, Assassin's Creed, and other "cinematic" games that have come to be the Playstation hallmark aren't for me. However, I've compiled a list that's plenty long, and if I did end up buying all 15 games I've mentioned thus far, my PS3 library would be larger than my Wii library by a sizable margin (I have 4 Wii games so far, although I expect to buy Smash Brothers and Wii Fit and Endless Ocean early next year).

All for less than a Wii, AND I get a Blu Ray player for my HD TV. Why am I getting criticized so much T_T

I'd forgotten you got it for $200. I suppose that makes sense. Out of off topic curiousity, what games do you have for the Wii?

Wii Play, Galaxy, Prime 3, and Zack and Wiki. My favorite is Wii Sports still (if that counts, it's 5), but Z&W and Prime are also very good. I liked but did not love Wii Play and Galaxy (no, I did not think Wii Play was crap). I'm very interested to see how FPS evolves on the Wii and its successors -- I think it's possible the Wii remote could end up being better than a mouse/keyboard. It isn't YET, but maybe on the Wii 2 or Wii 3? I think it's possible. Analog stick is much worse for aiming and turning, but it's better for lateral movements. If you can combine a 3d mouse with an analog stick for strafing, you might be able to achieve even better results. We'll see.

I am getting Trauma Center and Mercury Meltdown Revolution for Christmas, unless my girlfriend decided to completely ignore my wishes :p
