Yeah, I responded on that response that it was bullshit, but he deleted it.
And he hasn't unlocked the other difficulty level, so it's his first play-through. I'll wait and see what some reviews say before I decide to buy it though.

Well, going by what Chrizum and others who played the game say, difficulty levels are not locked, so your basis for saying that this was that guy's first playthrough is all wrong.

Even less reason to replay the game then. I normally start with the hardest difficulty available in games and well most of my games have unlockable difficulties and this guy was playing on medium, so that's why I thought it was his first play-through.

The Bearded One had it right when he likened it to Guitar Hero. You simply wouldn't be able to complete the game using Ninja difficulty without completing the game in Master mode first. It'd be like picking up a Guitar Hero controller for the first time and playing Through The Fire and The Flames lol.

The game starts off nice and easy (on Master mode) and whenever you start thinking the game is getting too easy it ramps up the difficulty. To start with the enemies are daft and just line up to get chopped to pieces, but as the game goes on they start to block your attacks, attack you with soft attacks. By the time the Ninjas arrive on the scene they end up dodging bullets, having strong guards that you need to attack in a certain way to get past, have strong attacks which have you having to defend in a certain way, have special powers of their own and try and box you into small areas so you can't dodge attacks so well or surround you and attack you at the same time. You will be able to complete the game in Ninja mode but it'll take you ages if you haven't played and completed the game in Master mode. The Bearded One's Guitar Hero analogy was spot-on.

A game needs to be challenging, I like to do things the hard way in games like not collecting any energy tanks in metroid games. I hope there's an even higher difficulty level then Ninja.

did you ever try LOZ:OOT

No heart containers, 1 life, no fairies, 5hours, and no special fairy blessing at the end. ( so if ganon hit's you it'll be 1 hit KO)

Now that is a run.

But I like the way you think but give Ubi some credit bro they came back hard from RS1.

Yeah, I've played it(and finished it), but I doubt I'd be able to pull that off.

Hey, I'm giving them some credit, the game looks good and it plays good(from the looks of it and all the hand-on previews), but I was just a bit worried about the length of the game, that's all :)
