Great to hear people's suggestions. Chrono Trigger, Sonic CD and Faxanadu almost made my list, and of course I omitted Rare games and Disney properties with the likelyhood that the former will never happen and the latter may not.
Other honorable mentions for the list included the Mega Man X series, Seirei Senshi Spriggan (the sequel to the awesome Genesis shooter MUSHA), and arcade-perfect ports of many of my favorite Capcom games: Ghouls n' Ghosts, Strider, Final Fight, Forgotten Worlds, etc.
