It's a Blue Ocean product, therefore you shouldn't try to shoehorn it on to horror games or whatever, it's going to come with software that was previously possible, just like Wii Fit. It'll be built around the device as much as the device will be built around the software. It'll be a system seller with more potential than both Natal and the PS Move.
Whether I like the software or not (I have trouble getting to sleep, and if the software is what I think it is then I'll get a lot of use out of it) it doesn't matter because it's hitting another BIG part of our lives..
Think about it, the Wii will cover all three of these next Holidays:
- Entertainment
- Fitness
- Stress
I think Nintendo will be hard pressed to find bigger marketable experiences. Software focusing on things like finance and relationships (other big areas of our lives) would be more difficult to work into an experience that could sell Wii consoles.
Wii Vitality (or whatever it ends up being called) is the next progression point of the line below:
Wii Sports -> Wii Fit -> Wii Vitality
For that reason alone, video gaming fans interested in the progression of the industry as a whole should be very interested in the Wii Vitality Sensor.
