lol wha? So adding more to motion controls is gonna lead to bury the audience cuz they aren't pro at table tennis? I mean really? The lack of motion sensing on the wii makes players get buried in there boredom because everyone is doing the same thing with skills not needed. See what I did there? Is that what you want 'gaming' to be? Unless your playmates are pro table tennis I doubt that it will make a difference. If the player is good then he is good. Go check the official Move thread for the upcoming titles. You will see some good variety in there. There will be something for all. And again, with a PS3, you get MORE than just MOVE. You get all the great games it has to offer as well. So it's not the next Wii. It's the PS3 with just something in addition. And also do you think the casual market will buy 20 -30 games in half an year for a household? Be reasonable here. I know wii owners who still haven't bought more than 5 games since launch because that's enough for them to entertain their guests. As long as the Move has at least 5 games I would enjoy I'll buy it. Sigh let's face it. You don't like the Move. You haven't tried as everyone else. You have never said anything good about it. You make up one random reason after the other on Move related threads and frankly your making absolute no sense. If you do not like it so much, don't post in these threads. It's getting tiring |
Nope, I want gaming to be 'fun' no matter how lame that fun may appear to you.
Get more than just Move? Gawd! Most people (regular people) don't give a crap about every game Sony has released thus far on the PS3. Its a simple fact, and whether or not they tack on some motion controls isn't going to make them like the games any more than they already do. If people were buying the PS3 for Sony's games then they would have bought a hell of a lot more of them! Sony doesn't get it, they aim for a hardcore market and they miss pretty much everyone else.
If they release 20 games with the move about 50% of them will suck, its mathematics. Then that leaves 5 each casual/hardcore and out of those perhaps at most on average 1 or 2 will be compelling. Thats simply not enough to really justify any form of expenditure unless you've already made up your mind sight unseen that you want the interface.
Why will the move fail? Because Sony has already failed. Its as simple as that. Their first party games don't cross even a 10% attach rate threshold very often because they suck at giving them a wide appeal. They aren't going to suddently turn around after failing for 3 generations thus far at releasing wide appeal content and suddenly pull a couple of home runs. Its obvious they are going to fail with Move because they haven't got it in them to succeed. Nintendo wins because they released several home run titles this generation, much more than Sony has ever released in their history.
