No, you're missing the point. I could play the game and learn the deep system but why bother when I can randomly mash two buttons and let the game play for me? I don't disagree that the game has many stances and all that jazz, but it doesn't change the fact you can randomly mash two buttons and the game plays itself.

So you can sit there and tell me all day that the game is deep and get angry when people say that they can whiz through it by mashing buttons but I simply made that video to prove that those people weren't lying.

So go ahead and make your silly FF comparisons, that doesn't change the fact that Heavenly Sword is a simple button masher that tried to be more.

I can partially agree on that :P, however at later times "button mashing" gets replaced with countering, and the "button mashing" doesn't quite work with Kai, on the earlier stages you are completely right though, the enemy does very little guarding and is generally susceptible to  petty mashes, later on knowing the guard breaks and countering is what drives the combat forward lol.
