Why is this a nintendo thread?

There's a thread in the gaming forum too.

Level-5 seems to favor Nintendo, all their selfpublished games have been on DS so far.

now you know thats BS, They self publish DS games because they can afford too, Level 5 isnt a giant company like SE or Capcom the cant make huge games and publish and market them thats too much, which is why when big games come along they work with a publisher which always is SONY if your trying to infer that they have a bigger relationship with Nintendo( never directly work with) than SONY( every project Except there DS games) your outta your mind. Plus them publishing there own title suggest that have weaker relationship.... Why isnt Nintendo publishing there games but SONY and even MS during the ill fated True Fantasy paid for/published/ and marketed there L5 games?

Afford to?  Level-5 is rolling in profits, they have 2 new million+ seller IPs already this generation (with a virtually guaranteed 3rd coming soon), they've expanded hugely, they opened a mocap studio, they're investing in film and animation, they started a new mobile platform, they're opening American and European subsidiaries soon... L5 might not be as big as SE or Capcom, but at the rate they're going they soon will be. They're not limited to DS in the least, they went there because (1) it's the overwhelming market leader and (2) they're not stupid.  Smarty navigating and building their brands on DS is exactly why L5 is as successful as they are today.  And honestly, that probably wouldn't have happened on any other system.

And yes, these days they're far, far closer to Nintendo, thanks to the sweetheart deal Layton has in the west.  Layton 1 alone has already outsold all their SCE funded games combined. They've done more games on DS than all the PlayStations combined too.  When it comes to partnerships today for Level-5, it's Square Enix > Nintendo >>> SCE.
