With the level of demand the DS has been commanding and the amount of other old franchises they've been bringing back, it's basically common sense to expect each of those. And they've been doing much more than "ignoring the DS". Look what they recently released for it - games like Mario Party DS and Zelda: PH. Those two alone prove that the DS is a major concern, and they'd be fools to not cash in on the opportunities they have.
Additionally, the predictions about "NSMB2" and PilotwingsDS just seem to fit what we should expect with franchises like those, from Nintendo.
