It is NOT about the device being used when i play games. it is about being used when I am NOT.

Good lord, you guys are all way too gullible.

How retarded. The device is in your possession. If you are so worried about that unplug the damn thing while you are not using it or cover the lens. How dumb and paranoid can you be??

Why so agressive and insulting? Have I murdered your little kitten?

I am not saying Sony will do anything. The PS3 is a computer any someone might be able to hack it.

Why so persistent with stupidity? Did intelligence kill your cat?

Ok Faxanadu is making a hypothetical

You believe that hypothetical is ridiculous

Just discuss that, no cat fighting.

I did. I said unplug the camera while not using it or cover the lens. He totally ignored that simple solution and continues with his paranoia of someone spying on him. Whats the point?

How many people will leave it plugged anyways?

I am merely saying that it is a potential intrusion to ones private life, not mine in particular. People will leave it plugged in and the system running without even thinking about this camera being in their living room.

Akvod got it right in that I am not personally concerned too much, I am just pointing out that this is a potential threat to privacy and could be abused by someone.

You people get really defensive over something that, when you take a step back, definitely is a risk to ones privacy. And then you start being insulting.

There is no reasonable risk. You don't know what you are talking about. You'd be better off saying house's shouldn't have doors because people could forget to lock them and potentially let someone else in. You'd be a lot more successful convincing other people to get ride of their front door than worry about this so called risk to ones privacy.
