You're actually young for Pokemon.
Pokemon really started to be popular between 1998 and 2000.
You were probably too young for it at that time.
People between 18 years old and 24 years old are still in love with Pokemon and a lot of them still buy the games (including me!).
The games themselves are not for kids at all. Like people said before: You are never too old for Pokémon.
