I recommend a PSP GO
simply because you are going to travel, the PSP GO is the better of the two when it comes to portable gaming.

bluetooth (this is a must if you are interested in listening to music, you can connect with any cellphone, and transfer any media over, same with any bluetooth device)
PAUSE GAME feature (this one is amazing because you can just pause any game and go onto the xmb and if oyu want to watch a movie, you watch it, want to surf the web, go ahead, then you can go back to your game, EXACTLY at the point you left)
and that's about it for feature difference.. I really recommend the GO over the 3000 though.. I have a 3000
