i agree with lestatdark, i am one of the younger generations your talking about, being 17, and i have played FFIII, ChronoTrigger, FFVI, FFVII, and onwards. Button-mashers are bad games unless done right and FPSs have actually gotten worse and repetitive because there are just too many "good" ones its all people seem to be playing, i admit it that alot of my generation dont play "proper" games and only go as far as shooters and sports but there are quite a few of us that play JRPGs almost religiously, more than i first thought aswel. Also yes alot of gamers 20 and under have a X360 but again sweeping statement and most of my friends have a PS3 and a Wii, not an X360 in sight. Those with only a X360 has quickly diminished aswel and quite a few people have bought a PS3. Star Ocean is a brilliant game on the PS3 it must be said, as is FFXIII. |
I am also part of the younger generation at 17 years old and I am playing FFXIII right now. Teens don't play only shooters and sports games, that's a crass generalization. They play a diverse variety of game. This is proven in a survey I read.
