Alright, it's well known that the reviewing indstry has been going down real fast. But I am just wondering, when was the last time you saw a review which would equate to under 50% and it was a serious game?

I was looking online, and some magazines, and I think the last review of a game that gave a score under a 5 was CGW some time before they closed. They also used to give a lot of interesting scores, such as 3 stars for CoD and anything over a 4 was a must buy for me from them, and I can tell you, I did not buy many games.

So anyone else have any memories of when games got what they deserved? Where the sequels with same formulas did not go over an 8 except in very special cases and clones never got over a 7?

Some 'serious' games. And their reviews below 50.

Sands of Destruction (DS) - 3

The Crystal Bearers (Wii) - 5

Dante's Inferno (PS3/360) - 1

Dark Void (PS3/360) - 7

White Knight Chronicles (PS3) - 3

These are all pretty recent games too. Not older than a few months.
