Well it's a known fact that certain percentage of customers base their shopping on impuls. So they can either give something more though given there is long waiting period. Or they go out to buy a certain thing, which they are looking forward and it's not there, they tend to ease the "pain" by buying something else. So instead of buying new Wii, they'll just get 2 games for their current system instead of waiting for 3 more weeks to be on the reservation list.
It does definately hurt both consoles, the only question is how much.
