I am assuming everyone forgets you can waggle the damn wiimote any which way and get the same effect. This you CANT do that. You must follow through and do a full movement. Much more "Motion" Is required. I remember playing zelda. At first i was like "YEAH"*swings arms around like a wild man* Once I realized that if i jerked the controller off I would still get the same effect i was like "meh"

Technically. Nintendo stole motion control from... Nintendo? Power glove ftw?

A lot of that has to do with software integration. If you played WarioWare Smooth Moves you know there's more to the regular Wiimote than just moving, but it's a matter of implementing it to gameplay in a way that works for everybody that is using it in a particular gameplay context.

Which is why it's so insanely early to make determinations on which is better. In practice, they may very well be the same, depending on how game design implements them. I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo got the edge just because they've experimented more, even though the tech may be more limiting. On the same note, in practice, Sony's apparent technological edge may prove meaningless. It's all about context and implementation.
