So, all you care about is if people buy the system, not whether or not they play it? Just because people own a system doesn't mean better games are going to come out for it, and if the really good games that do come out aren't purchased, that doesn't leave much incentive for developers to spend a lot of time on games for the Wii. That is why you see so many shoddy ports and budget games for retail out for the system right now. Casuals don't know what good games are. When they walk into the store, they are more likely to buy the game with the most interesting cover art above anything else, as they don't spend their time in game forums and on review sites. "so what, they'll still buy the system before they get bored of it" - that is some sound logic.
