The iPod/iPhone/iMac were all doubted just like you're doubting the iPad. Go back to the archives and there was nearly identical criticisms. I'm not saying that the criticisms aren't valid, but Apple has a way triumphing despite all of it.

I'm not saying Apple will dominate, but you have to be silly to say they aren't one of the major forces in networked services.

The iPod,iPhone not iMac (not the same level of success) were all much better than what you could get from anywhere else at the time of release.

The iPad doesn't have a form factor as good as the Courier nor the features of the Slate. Apple is actually facing competition upon release which is why I cast doubt upon the iPad.

No way. When the iPod launched there was a ton of criticisms about it. I don't even know where to start there was so much. The same goes for the iMac and the iPhone. Do a google search, it's there.

yup..thare was quite a bit. now look at apple go 24% of the mobile smartphone  cellphone market in under 4 year's. that is quite impressive

no matter how you cut that Apple is sitting very pretty, Hell it even forced AT&T to upgrade the network because the IPHONE user's were using more bandwidth than AT&T's network could properly handle. that's saying something right there.
