I really wonder where the DS will go saleswise. Sure, there could be a DS2 at this years E3 that might cut sales dramatically, but I do not think there will already be one. I mean how could the has not even been a real price cut yet. When the DS was released at the end of 2004, it was priced at $150. After the DS lite replaced the old model, the lite was at $150 and the old model at $120-130. Last year, Nintendo released the DSi and the XL has been available in the west for a few days, pricing at $190. Naturally, sales of the DS have slowed down in the last weeks/months, but still, the DS is selling like crazy considering its price and age. The question now is: How much will it have sold when it is all said and done? If I am right and there is no DS2 at this year´s E3, the DS will easily top 150mln. sales, but by how much? I would say a price cut could really push the DS once again. Imagine sales in the last quarter when you´d get a lite at $99, a DSi at $130 and an XL at $150. I am eager to find out where this beast will end.
