So my Wii has arrived and I need some answers

Memory card is for GC games. If you plan on buying a bunch of GC games get the 1019 one on Amazon (unless stores still carry it). If not get the 251 one. I'd recommend the classic controller and a GC controller for GC games.

Do *not* buy the 1019, unless you want a ticking time bomb that is going to corrupt. On the GameCube it's reliable enough, but when used on a Wii their days are numbered.

 

And start with Super Mario Galaxy. It's far and away the most awe-inspiring game on the platform.

 

Apparently not mine...

How long so far? I had one that i used from Wii's launch that panned out December 08, but i know it's not just me.

 

Still, it's not worth the risk.

 

I've had my Wii for 3 years and my memory card for nearly 6. I don't leave my memory card in the Wii when I'm done though.

That's why i guess. Mine had over 2 years of almost constant heat working against it...
