Memory card: I assume you're asking about an SD card? The memory card slots under the flaps are for Gamecube games only. In the former case, any quality SD / SDHC card will do.
Games: I'm biased towards NSMBWii (GET KORORINPA)
Controllers: I'd recommend extra Wiimotes for NSMBWii chaos, but the Classic Controller / Gamecube controllers are a purely optional feature for a few retail disc games; you may want one or the other for some Virtual Console and WiiWare tites, though.
Also: I hope you have a thick skin, because a lot of people will assume you care about their stupid opinions of your new acquisition.
