People make this mistake over and over again. Just because they aren't selling SDTVs anymore doesn't mean people aren't still holding onto the SDTVs they already have instead of buying new ones. Also, TV adoption rate is not the only factor in terms of "market readiness" for HD. You have to be able to deliver content at a reasonable price as well, not just the platform.
