The only reason anyone should do that is if they will pay it off quickly. (Like immediately) But keep in mind that if you are in the process of buying a home or getting a loan of some sort, be careful doing this as it will take a hit on your credit rating as a new line of credit.
I bought mine for $500 and got a 2nd controller free back this summer when the 60's dropped $100. I'm not sad that I paid more then I can get one for now, and am just fine with that.
My pokemon brings all the nerds to the yard. And they're like, "You wanna trade cards?" Damn right, I wanna trade cards. I'll trade this, but not my charizard.
