I agree that probably is a big part of it. It is that way with a few long time running games it seems.

Yeah it kinda sucks especially like recent FF games get bashed even though they are quite great in their own right.

FF is one of thoose series!!! lol  It was the reason I got my PS1. I still love JRPGS but more the "Niche ones"? I guess. I suppose Crash Bandicoot is one of thoose too. But, I think everyone agrees with that one.
