I don't think nintendo games in HD will be nearly enough to help them maintain the position of market leader. In fact, I think the majority of the "expanded audience" will be extremely slow to upgrade, and they are what has landed nintendo in the position they are in this gen. It was not classic nintendo franchises like mario and zelda - gamecube had those and we all know what happened to it.
