i got some and use them, yeah it does look a bit ugly but it's definetly less likely to come out your hand, and if it did, less likely to damage anything, why do you need to look at the remote anyway?
When me and 2 or 3 friends are all playing (and drinking), i feel its best to take all the precautions you can.
