This again, leads me to believe that Nintendo is either including something such as VC titles, or shipped titles. I don't think VGCharts is inaccurate enough to misconstrute the NPD and their own homebrew data to give such an amazing discrepancy vs. Nintendo. So there are my arguments, where are yours? |
So then you have US, Japan and Europe, at about 22-24 million, add in Canadian and Austrailian and the rest of the territories that the Wii has released in and you'd probably get between 2-4 million in software sales extra, which would put our estimate anywhere from 24-28 million in software sales, which means that the 28.84 million of Nintendo isn't far out of the realm of possibility, which is why I hesitate to say that its only a shipped figure, until we can have more data from a source like VGChartz. |
You really don't want to get it do you? Just check VGchartz number for Japan on april 1st. They're at 4,627,359 sold software, that's 1.5M short of the 6.12M that is in the Nintendo number, which means almost 25% of the software is not sold yet as of march 31st.
