Although that giant scorpion in the top right of the last level... you had to get in close to suck him up because he would get "stuck" on a wall if you tried to vaccuum him from the farthest distance. You basically had to paralyze it, then get immediately above it, otherwise it was too hard to step around it without getting killed.
