Why is MAG heavily criticized?

I have no idea.  It seems to have become a weird magnet for the PS3 vs 360 fanboy battle to the death but not really to the death as its just on the internet.

Funny thing is it's a niche, tactical online shooter.  Of all the big franchises or exclusives to focus on I just can't get why MAG get's so much attention.

Maybe they can argue about Socom 4 now!

I think it's the 256 player count.
