LOL at everyone thinking its LTD sales will be below 4m. Hell, even 5m.
LTD is hard to capture though, a game can sell for years so you have to consider how many will be sold copies after 2 or 3 years.
First Week:
America: 1.1m
Others: 600k+
Japan: 70k (Uncharted 2 sold 47k on day one)
Total week one sales: 1.8m
LTD:
America: 3.6m
Others: 2.8m
Japan: 200k
Total LTD sales: 7m (after 2-3 years).
Prediction:
GoW III will reach 5m sold by the end of the year.
I say this because Uncharted 2 managed to push 3.5m within four months. With the same level of advertising GoW III can surpass this figure BUT I think Sony will be putting a lot more into marketing for GoW, hence the higher prediction.
