Look at sales for Sega all star tennis and Sonic gensis collection. All had rediculous slow starts but have sold + 1 million across all platforms.

Unlike those two, this game is not sub par and not a collection of old games...so hopefully it does the same at least.

I'd hope so for Sega's sake because they did put real effort into this.   Sega All Star Tennis had two huge advantages - it was one of the first Tennis games on Wii and was a pack-in game on 360 so that really boosted sales.

I'd like to think good word of mouth will save this game, but if Smashchu2 is right, the lack of ability to really change the race after the first lap may kill interest for most people.   If people want something totally skilled based and realistic they'll get Forza or GT5 or such.    Maybe MS will make this a pack-in game at some point.
