With the recession and the fact that future consoles won't have big die shrinks like we have now, he could very well be correct about the big 3 not wanting to put out new consoles so soon.
All of the previous articles of the next gen say that we could get new consoles sometime in 2012 but these were months ago, and , we really haven't heard any news or even much speculation about the next gen in a while, meaning that the big 3 could be all deciding that they will wait a few more years (2012 +2). Again, just keep in mind that pachter makes 200,000 a year, has game CEOS on speedial, and has lightning bolts shoot out of ass whenever he feels like it.
