Could it be that even if it were the case that Nintendo made mistakes, nobody wants to hear IGN bitch about it? There is a difference between stating an opinion, and treating yourself as an elite who knows more than consumers who like the products Nintendo has been giving out. These articles are meant to target Nintendo fans, and because of that it should be realized that people are going to complain about it if somebody is targeting the source of their fandom with a negative rather than critical tone . Why does it even matter? If people are going to complain, on either ends, then let them. As for my opinion, I think the gaming media is pretty much non-representative of my opinion, and because of that I put very little credit into them for anything; either it be Wii, PS3, 360, DS, PSP, or PC. |
So then the desire is for media outlets to be NOTHING but extensions of publisher's PR representatives? Who wants to hear opinions of 1up, IGN, Giantbomb or the like? Just deliver the press releases and be done with it.
