What I find amusing is if they make an article critical towards the wii, then it's obviously trolling for hits. But if they write an article that praises the wii, then it's just them apologizing and begging for forgiveness. Can't anybody take articles at face value anymore? Why is there always some devious subtext to articles? Could it be possible, maybe just possible, that Nintendo has made some really dumb decisions this generation that have alienated a large portion of the gaming populous and IGN called them on it, and Nintendo is ramping up to have a great year and they are praising them for it? Does it all have to be a conspiracy theory of fanboys and trolls?

Dumb question. Yes, yes it does. I forgot I was on the internet.

The thing is, they never went about commenting about Nintendo's flaws in the more professional way that you imply they should have. I know Nintendo has messed up MANY times throughout this gen (I ALWAYS said they never capitalize) but I didn't grab a pile of dirt and throw it on the companies name like IGN did. How are people supposed to react when not even 3 months ago, IGN was claiming Nintendo death knells, but now the Wii is back like cooked crack?

IGN even flat out stated themselves they only created the podcast content and articles to get hits. They said it point blank. I could forgive them if they did not know these games were coming, but last I checked....nearly all of the games they mentioned as "hardcore resurgence" have been known about for months, before their previous trollling spree.

So the big complaint it "Well yeah, they were right, but they didn't need to be so mean about it!"

And I listen to all of their podcasts, any time they said "point blank" that they were trolling the wii just to get hits, they said it not in earnestness but to mock the group of highly vocal readers that they rightfully show open disdain for. Apparently years on internet forums has broken people's audial sarcasm detectors.
