free online and i will 100% have it

This.

I don't know if I'll buy it otherwise.

I triple this.

If it was like White Knight Chronicles for example, then it'd be day 1 most likely. oh well though..

I quadruple this

I don't see the ideology behind paying every month, its something I can never do, it feels like a rip off.

Based on how much you play, it can be worth more than buying a game.  a $15 subscription fee = a new game every 4 months, I buy more than 3 games a year, and if you really like the game, and that is all you play then paying $15 a month is really not that big of a deal, and actually cheaper in the long run.

FF11 had a TON of content, judging by your comment about it being a rip-off I doubt you played the game, but even before the expansion packs the game offered months upon months of playtime (jobs, sub-jobs, crafting, etc)

Now a lot of what made the game great also made it terrible, as leveling a craft was a pain in the ass having to travel between cities to get ingredients or farming (/THF for the win! - Loved my Flee)

I just hope they offered a "lifetime" subscription (Like LotR and Champions) though, really before playing the game, are you willing to plop down $200 to play as long as you feel like?  I would have to think about this if they did offer that, as I kept paying for my FF11 account for 3 years and never really played, as I was playing WoW.

The reason I didn't cancel my FF11?  I thought I might go back someday, however, if you cancel your account, after 6 months it gets deleted (I prefer Blizzard's policy of never deleting accounts)

definetely

I'd pay up to £100 for a lifetime subscription of FF14 in a heartbeat.
