You do realize this is downloadable software ... unless WiiWare, XBL, or PSN offer a demo, you'll have to pay full-price (anywhere from 10-15 USD). There will be no "renting" involved.

All XBLA games have demos, it's part of passing certification.  The WW/PSN versions of MM10 won't have demos though, which is likely why they're releasing a few weeks before the XBLA version.
