Why would Heavy Rain be held to the standard of Mass Effect 2 or Uncharted 2? Nobody expected that much from Heavy Rain, well, outside of Sony execs....

The game has been in development in one form or another since 2006 and it's considered a big budget game.  So I have to ask you, why aren't you holding it up to the same standard as Mass Effect 2 and Uncharted 2?  I'm curious, do you hold Alan Wake up to the same standard as those two games?

Same reason U2 and ME2 aren't compared to MW2 and Halo

Certain games have certain appeals and sales expectations, Heavy Rain is considered a niche title thats why sales are impressive

AW can be comparable to U2 because its an action thriller
