@Metallicube: Those $60 HD games usually go down in price over time. There's only a handful of HD games that don't eventually get a permanent price reduction while it's the standard for first party Wii games. My problem isn't that first party Wii games launch at $50-60, it's that they stay there for the entire generation in some cases.
Something I should mention is that in Canada, new first party Wii games are now $60. So for example Heavy Rain launched at the same price as NSMBWii. The only price disparity for new games is with HD third party releases, which tend to be $60-70 where new third party Wii releases tend to be $50 or less.
Edit: The amount of replay value a game has should have not make a game more expensive longer. Even the best games, even if they are made by Nintendo should cost less today than they did on launch in 2007 or 2008. When Sony was on top they reduced prices of their best selling games over time. When they or a third party offered a trilogy re-release of certain games on the ps2, it was usually $20-$30 not $50-60.
