Last time I actually checked my trophies through the friend's list area my Heavy Rain trophies were at 48%. If checking it through the "Game" section of the XMB does nothing then my 68% on Heavy Rain will drop 20%. 
That is pretty much all I would lose though, but it still sucks.
That is if that is what syncing is, because nobody answered my question yet.
