I'm surprised there was no news on any expanded audience games. If Wii vitality/relax is a holiday titles that means there's nothing for the expand audience (which is the bulk of Wii owners) for almost an entire year. That will definitely hurt sales. I'd expect to see a steady sales decline for the entire year until Wii Vitality launches.

SMG2 will most likely sell less than SMG, S&P2 will be niche and M:oM is 2-3m seller at best. None of these will sell any systems either. MH3 might but that remains to be seen, but again, only to the more 'core' gamer.

I'm surprised to see Prince of Persia present but not Red Steel 2. Was that Ubisoft's call or Nintendo's? Frankly although it's not based on the movie, PoP is effectively a movie game, with a capped/rushed development cycle, made by a second rate studio that will most likely suck on all systems but most especially Wii. Red Steel 2 on the other hand could have used the timely promotion before launch.

Yeah, the lack of even accepting the free publicity for Red Steel 2 has got me a little worried on my million bet.

As for the casual games, I have a feeling we're going to get that at E3. Nintendo knows that the press at their gaming summit would be purely for the gamers, where as E3 actually breaks in to the mainstream news.

I considered that but anything shown at E3 will likely be a holiday release.   Still, it's certainly possible and not unheard of for them to announce a game at E3 and launch a month or so later.   For the casual market that's probably the way to go anyway.
